James L. Conley
James L. Conley, 87, Delia, died Monday, June 18, at his home.
He was born July 7, 1902 at Rossville, the son of Schuyler and Maude Stone Conley.
He lived in the Sandy Hook community from 1942 to 1952, when he moved north of Delia.
He was a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church, and the Sons of the American Revolution.
Mr. Conley married Bess M. Mercer July 29, 1931. She died July 18, 1989.
Survivors include a son, Joe M. Conley, Delia; three grandchildren, Patricia Peterson, Wamego, James C. Conley, Parsons, and William J. Conley, Delia; and a great-grandson, Schuyler Martinek, Wamego.
Mr. Conley will lie in state after 4 p.m. Tuesday (today) where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at Verschelden Funeral Home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Rossville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville United Methodist Church.
