Marriage- Rosser, Karen-Heidebrecht, Kenneth

Marriage occurs Saturday at church in Newton

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rosser, Delia, announce the marriage of their daughter, Karen Elaine, to Mr. Kenneth D. Heidebrecht, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Heidebrecht, Wichita.

The Rev. Floyd Kaiser officiated at the double-ring service at 7:30 o'clock p.m., June 20, in the Presbyterian Church, Newton. The altar was decorated with baskets of white gladioli and fern, and was flanked with candelabra of white tapers.

Mr. Don Hamilton, Salina, was vocalist, and Mrs. Hobart Chandler, Newton, organist.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of delicate silk organza over taffeta with an empire waistline accented by venice lace and a small bow at the front. Long tapering sleeves of self material were featured. The skirt was dramatized by a detachable watteau train, topped by a bow. The bridal veil of imported silk illusion, fell in soft folds to the waistline, and was caught to a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of white bridal roses and lily of the valley.

Miss Marilyn Rosser, Delia, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Mrs. Johnny Johnson, Grinnell, and Miss Barbara Krasny, Kansas City, Kans., were bridesmaids.

Attendants wore street-length dresses of willow green, and carried cascading clusters of willow green glamellias and hunter green foliage with accents of fern green. They wore a cluster of the same exotic foliages in their hair.

Miss Terry Berkley, Bennington, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. She was dressed in a white organza dress. She wore a flat ivy circlet on her head and carried a willow green basket of rose petals. Bruce Barnes of Newton was ring bearer.

Mr. Russ Heller, Wichita, and Mr. Harley Holmes, Kansas City, Kans., were taper lighters.

Mr. David Breckbill, Wichita, was best man. Mr. Charles Miller and Mr. Dale Heller, both of Wichita, were groomsmen.

Richard Steudtner, Wichita, Allen Wiechert, Kansas City, Mo., Barry Rupard, Wichita, Harley Holmes, Kansas City, Kans., and Russ Heller, Wichita, served as ushers.

Mrs. Rosser, mother of the bride, wore a french blue lace dress. Her corsage was of lavender cymludium orchids.

Mrs. Heidebrecht, mother of the bridegroom, wore a pink lace dress with white accessories. Her corsage was of pink cymludium orchids.

Mrs. Bill Collins of Newton attended the guest book.

The reception was held in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Assisting at the reception were Miss Carolyn Chandler, Topeka; Miss Jean Bastow, Newton; Mrs. Lloyd Claassen, Newton; Miss Judith Zlatnik, Delia; and Mrs. Bob Worley, Portales, New Mexico.

Mr. and Mrs. Emil Claassen, Newton, and Mr. and Mrs. Byron Manning, Newton, acted as hosts at the reception.

Junior hostesses were Miss Nancy Ross, Delia; Miss Marsha Titus, Newton; Miss Ginger Claassen, Newton; Miss Jayne Samuelson, Newton; Miss Cindy Andres, Newton; and Miss Margaret Spencer, Newton.

For going away, the bride chose a dress of willow green silk linen with beige accessories.

After a wedding trip to New Mexico and Colorado, Mr. and Mrs. Heidebrecht are at home, 349 North Green, Wichita.
