Obituary- Rogers, Arizona 1

Arizona L. Rogers
A.L. Rogers, whose death occurred Thursday, May 28, at the home of his son, John Rogers, north of Willard, was laid to rest Sunday, May 30th, in the Dover cemetery after a funeral service held at the West Union church south of Willard conducted bt the Rev. G.C. Albin of Rossville. The M.W.A. ritualistic service was exemplified at the cemetery.
Mr. Rogers was a native of Peoli, Ohio, where he was born August 31st, 1860 and at the date of his death was 64 years, 8 months and 28 days old.
At the age of 18 he united with the Methodist church and remained in that faith. In 1884 he came to Kansas and located near Valencia. Until his removal to Rossville several years ago he had lived continuously in the Willard neighborhood.
During his residence here Mr. Rogers had made many warm friends. A large number of Rossville people attended the funeral service. The pallbearers included Messrs. R.R. Hawks, Elmer Witter, Harley Seigle, I.T. Hopkins, Ted Fields and A.B. Jamieson.
Beside the widow he is survived by four sons and three daughters, Abe Rogers, P.D. Rogers, and Mrs. Helen Taber, all of Willard; Mrs. Abbie Edgar of Pullman, Washington; Mrs. Ruth Page of Rossville.
