Marriage- Spetter, Judy-Cress, Verlon

Spetter-Cress
Vows Exchanged
The marriage of Judy Spetter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Spetter of Rossville, and Verlon Cress, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cress of Mayetta, was solemnized at 9 a.m. June 19.

Father Schultz read the nuptial mass in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at Rossville. Altar boys were Kenny and Donny Macha of Rossville. Mrs. Joe Campbell, organist, provided the wedding music.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor- length gown of Chantilly lace designed with a fitted bodice, bridal point sleeves, and scalloped sabrina neckline. The skirt of lace tiers extended into a chapel-length train. Her veil was held by a headpiece trimmed with pearls and crystals. She carried a bouquet of pink roses.

Linda Glotzbach of Topeka was maid of honor, and the bridesmaid was Sarah Spetter, sister of the bride. They wore matching floorlength gowns of pink styled with empire waist-line and lace bodice. Their bouquests were of white carnations.

Best man was Vernon Cress, brother of the groom, and Keith Hug of Mayetta was grooms man. Ushers were Mike Cummings and Earl Queen.

Becky Jo Hippensteel, niece of the bride, carried the bridal train. Alice Cummings was flower girl and ring bearer was Jimmy Hippensteel, nephew of the bride.

A reception in the Rossville Community Center followed the ceremony. Assisting at the refreshment table were Mrs. Cornelius Cummings and Mrs. Edward Macha.
