WALTER CLESS’ ENJOY GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Cless entertained at an informal gathering Sunday, Feb. 28, at the home of his parents, Mr. an Mrs. Walter Cless, who were honor guests on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mr. and Mrs. Cless were married Feb. 24, 1904, at the home of the bride’s parents north of Rossville with the Rev. Steward officiating. Mrs. Cless is the former Lida Shenk. They have one son, Floyd of Topeka.

They were pleasantly surprised by a group of relatives and friends who gathered at their home Sunday and helped them observe their Golden Wedding anniversary.

The table was covered with a lace cloth and decorated with a three-tier cake and candelabra. Mrs. Duane Parr cut the cake and Mrs. Leland Wagner was in charge of the guest book.

Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Duane Parr and J.D.., Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cless, Mrs. Bertha Cless, Mr. and Mrs. Wash Ward, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hudson, Mrs. Lucretia Dowling, Mrs. Harold Cowan, Mrs. Lewis Trahoon, Mrs. Floyd Trahoon, and daughter, Miss Blanche Parr, Miss Mabel Boyles Mr. Chris Viergever all of Rossville Mr. and Mrs. Dave Wonnell, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Landis all of Silver Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Leland Wagner of Manhattan; Mrs. Charity James, Mrs. Thelma Crater, Mike Crater, Mrs. Maude Shenk, Mrs. Earl Riddle, Mrs. Grace Dol, Mrs. Anne Wagner, Mr. and Mrs. Merle Smith, MR. and Mrs. John Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Eli Shenk, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Kaiser and Curt all of Topeka.
