Robert L. Zane
SILVER LAKE - Robert L. Zane, 55, Silver Lake, died of natural causes Sunday, Nov. 20, 1988, at his home.
Mr. Zane was retired from the Navy. He served from 1950 to 1970 with the Western Pacific Fleet throughout the Pacific. His last assignment was on the nuclear submarine Sculpin at the rank of master machinist chief.
He was born March 10, 1933, in Joplin, Mo., the son of John B. Zane Jr., and Katherine B. Hundertfund Zane. He moved to Silver Lake at an early age.
Mr. Zane was a member of Fleet Reserve No. 49 in San Francisco.
He was married to Goldie O’Neal Jan. 2, 1970, at Winter Haven, Calif. She survives.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. A Fort Riley detail will conduct graveside services in Silver Lake Cemetery. Mr. Zane will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at the funer¬al home where relatives and friends will meet from 7 until 8 p.m. today.
