Donald and Peggy Sumner
Donald and Peggy Sumner, Topeka, will celebrate their 50th anniversary at a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. May 27 at Garfield Shelter House, 1600 NE Quincy. Hosts will be their children.

Donald Sumner and Peggy Zwonitzer met in high school. They were married May 26,1957, at the Methodist Church in Holton.

Their children are Dawn and Mark Augustine, Dwayne and Gina Sumner, Denise and David Damme, and Darin and Tammy Sumner, all of Topeka. They have 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Donald retired in 1996 from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. after 42 years of service. Peggy is a homemaker.
