John C. Osborn Is Dead

John C. Osborn, 89, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lillie Coffman, route 9, Friday morning. He had been a resident of Shawnee county for 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella Osborn; seven children, Earl, and Oliver Osborn and Mrs. Coffman, Topeka; Mrs. Nevada Heslet and Mrs. Myrtle Rasdershack, Los Angeles, Calif., Edward Osborn, Okmulgee, Okla., and Mrs. Beulah Moreman, Potomac, Ill.; a brother, Milton Osborn, Rossville; three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Stadler, Mrs. George Smith and Mrs. W.W. Morgan, all of Rossville; 35 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Rossville Methodist church at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. G.S. Pritchett. Burial was in Rossville cemetery.
