Upon graduation she began working for various companies around the Topeka area, including Shelter Insurance in the Claims Department and managed lounge at the American Legion Auxiliary Post 400 in Topeka. I think Antonie, she came with their parents to this country, directly to the district where Jackson spent his difficult beginnings on a farm. In 1891 she married John Dolezilek, also our confrere (?) who before her death a few years previous farmed together successfully and acquired the beautiful property. They had seven children of which two died, Cyril & Florence. Surviving are Jan (John), August, Theodore and daughters Ludmila F. Steele and Agnes Bevers. To help her sister, she took her 2-year old daughter which from them married Vaclav Hoch from Wilson. She left two brothers, Frank and Joseph Simecka, two sisters, Agnes Martinek and Frances Williams and 3 grandchildren. With our advice has been three years. She was always mindful of the responsibilities. Funeral was held 26 Dec from Catholics church. Church was well attended and the remains of her stored in Catholic cemetery Mt. Calvary St. Mary's. Family pronounces deep condolences to the deceased and wish you a peaceful rest.
[Note: Translated using Google translate. I’m not sure it is perfect but the basic is there. From my research, I know the names to be accurate. Her married name was Dolezilek but the obit put Simecka last so I added the (maiden name).]

| Obituary- Dolezilek, August 2
August Dolezilek Dies In Grass Fire
August Dolezilek, 83, a retired Rossville farmer, may have been killed when his clothes were set ablaze as he tried to stomp out a small grass fire, authorities speculated. His body was found Monday, March 22, 1982, near his farm home.
Shawnee County Sheriff's Deputy Mike Ramirez told a reporter for the "Topeka Capital-Journal" they were speculating that Mr. Dolezilek was burning trash and, one way or another, was engulfed in flames.
Mr. Dolezilek's badly burned body was found at 3:28 p.m. lying in the driveway near his farmhouse, northeast of Rossville, about one-half mile south of 86th Street on Docking Road. An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Sherriff's deputies commented they had to treat the death as a homicide until the autopsy report is returned, even though the death appear accidental, maybe coupled with a heart attack.
Bennie Martinek, a neighbor, said that Dolezilek usually burned his trash. In the shadow of his farmhouse, a charred pile of newspapers and magazines littered the driveway. Farther north was the still-smoldering outline of a cedar tree and a wide patch of fire-blackened stubble.
Several of Dolezilek's relatives, including his brother Ted, also of rural Rossville, were at the scene soon after the fire was discovered. Ted told authorities that August lived alone and that he got around well despite his age. Their parents had lived in the small wood-frame farmhouse before his brother moved therein in the 1920s.
Fire units from Shawnee County Fire District No. 1, based in Silver Lake, were first on the scene. "We just happened on it." said Dale Upton. "We were out investigating an illegal burning and took that road back because we saw a column of smoke." They found the grass fire, by then barely burning, and Dolezilek's body.
Services for Mr. Dolezilek are pending at Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys.

This community was saddened this (thursday) morning to learn of the death of Jerry Dolezilek, eight-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dolezilek, Jr.
His was the first case of polio in the community but speedily fatal.
Little Jerry was stricken last Friday with the illness and Saturday his constant vomiting finally was diagnosed by his physician and his parents advised to get him to a hospital as quickly as possible. It was not until Monday afternoon they were able to have him admitted to Christs Hospital.
Stricken with paralysis in the neck it quickly spread to the brain and he passed away this (Thursday) morning at 8:30.
Jerry was born July 26, 1938 just west of Rossville and spent his life and school days in Rossville. He had an engaging personality and was a little friend to everyone. He always had time to wave a "Hello" greeting to those whom he met. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dolezilek, Jr., two brothers, George, in the Naval service, stationed at Corpus Christi, Texas, and Ernie of the home and RHS student; two grandfathers Rudolph Besta and Frank Dolezilek, Sr., both of Rossville and many other near relatives.
Due to the character of his ailment only graveside services were held under theCatholic ritual at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Saturday morning at 9:00 o'clock.
For Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dolezilek, George and Ernie, RHS students and faculty feel a deep sympathy the are unable to adequately express. Jerry was very dear to all of us for his cherry, friendly disposition, his happy "Hi Ya" his lilting whistle attracted everyone he met on the street. He was one of the most enthusiastic and loyal supporters Rossville athletics have ever had. And so, recognizing out loss of a dear little friend, we extend out condolence to his family.
