Mary was a graduate of Rossville High School. Survivors include Angie Henderson of the home, Belinda Henderson, Indio, Calif., one grandchild, Coty Henderson, sister Ann Macha of Delia, brother Bill Ent of Lincoln, Neb. Mary was a homemaker. She loved to read, collected elephants, loved rocking chairs and was very devoted to her family. Celebration of her life will be at Rossville United Methodist Church on July 30 at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Assoc, or TARC. He was born Dec. 29, 1960. He was predeceased by : his parents, Betty Robben and Jerome Robben of Angelus, Kansas.. He is survived by : his sisters, Rebecca Haselhorst (Kenneth), Brenda Evans (Kent) and Julie Layton (William); and his nieces and nephews, Terra Dudenhoeffer, Todd Haselhorst, Kendra Glassman, Cody Evans, Brittany Evans, Tyler Layton, Madeline Layton and Ellena Layton. Mr. Roberson was a maintenance engineer at the United Methodist Home for 33 years. He served in the 35th Division of the Army in Germany during World War II. He was born Jan. 20, 1920, at Rossville, the son of B. Floyd and Corda Lewis Roberson. He had lived in Topeka 65 years. Mr. Roberson was a member of Jimmy Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion at Rossville. He was married to Janice Kay Frost on June 14, 1985, in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Sheryl S. Preston and Janice J. Kendall, both of Topeka; two stepdaughters, Cynthia J. Wilder, Carbondale, and Tamara K, Root, Olathe; a stepson, Mitchell Dean Root Sr., Maple Hill; two sisters, Elene M. Serratelli, Topeka, and Osie O. Turner, Lee’s Summit. Mo.; and 11 grandchildren Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery at Grove. | 9305 |  | Obituary- Roberson, Fred 2 Fred W. Roberson Fred W. Roberson, 77, Topeka died Monday evening, October 20, 1997, at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka. He was born January 20,1920, in Rossville, the son of B. Floyd and Corda Lewis Roberson. The family moved to Topeka when Fred was 12 years old. He was a maintenance engineer at The United Methodist Home in Topeka for 33 years. He served in the 35th Division of the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II where he served in Germany. Roberson, 65, who was dead on arrival at a Topeka hospital Tuesday after becoming ill at his Topeka home. Burial was in Walnut Hill Cemetery north of Silver Lake. He was born Feb. 15, 1899 in Morgan County, Ky., and spent most of his life in the Soldier and Silver Lake communities where he was a farmer. After he retired, he was employed at the Methodist Home for the Aged in Topeka. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Golda Roberson, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Larry Watkins, Topeka; two sons, Richard Roberson of Topeka and Eldon Roberson of Silver Lake; a sister, Mrs. Arra Adams, Topeka; and seven grandchildren. | |
| 9307 |  | Obituary- Roberson, Judith Mrs. Judith Anne Roberson Mrs. Judith Anne Cormack Roberson, 44, Topeka, died Monday, Jan. 28, 1991, at a Topeka hospital. She had cancer. Mrs. Roberson was a nurse at the Manor of Topeka Nursing Home and had worked nine years at the Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center as a psychiatric aide. She was born Nov. 7, 1946, at Nebraska City, Neb., the daughter of Walter V. and Leona E. Williamson Cormack. Her family moved to Topeka when she was 2 years old. She attended Topeka schools and was graduated from Topeka High School in 1964. Mrs. Roberson was a member of University United Methodist Church. She was married to Howard F. “Sam" Roberson April 16, 1988, at Miami, Okla. He survives. Other survivors include her parents, Walter and Leona Cormack, Topeka; a daughter, Mary Anne Moszeter, Topeka; two sons, Joey Williams and Jamie Williams, both of Topeka; two brothers, J. Michael Cormack, Lawrence, and Thomas J. Cormack, Vernon, Texas; and a granddaughter. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Roberson will lie in state from noon today until service time. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Bonnie was born February 6, 1959 in Dansville, New York the daughter of Gerald W. Partridge and Delores E. (Hanrahan) Partridge. She married Allan Roberts on December 12, 1986. Bonnie was a dog groomer. She loved dogs and horses, and was a member of the Oakalla Volunteer Fire Department. She was born Dec. 4, 1913, at Rossville, the daughter of Fred S. and Ida Mae (Gutshall) Heiland. She graduated from Rossville High School. Jennie was a member of the Elmont United Methodist Church and a 45 year member of the United Methodist Women. She was well-known as a good cook and was involved in farming, gardening, and volunteer work. Jennie was married to Richard DeGraff in 1938. He preceded her in death. She was married to Gilbert C. Roberts in 1946. He preceded her in death on Aug. 12,1960. She was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel G. Roberts, on Jan. 30,1991; 3 grandchildren; her parents; and two brothers, Fred Heiland and Harley Heiland. Surviving are 4 children: Barb DeGraff Smith, Janet Roberts McDonald, Robert P. Roberts and wife, Jeanne, and Susan Roberts Pederzani and husband, Ray, all of Topeka; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Sat., April 21, 2007, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment in Rochester Cemetery. She died Tuesday at a Topeka hospital. She was born March 15,1888, at Phillipsburg, the daughter of Frank and Hattie Cuffel. She lived in Delia before she moved to Meriden. Mrs. Robinson and her husband farmed, operated a restaurant and later a grocery store, all at Meriden, before they moved to Topeka in 1950. She was a member of the United Brethren Church. Her husband, Elmer Robinson, died in 1952. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Kitts, Topeka; a stepson, Rill Robinson, Twentynine Palms, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Grace Anders, Topeka; three brothers, Percy Cuffel, Las Altos, Calif., Joe Cuffel, Ault, Colo., and Bruce Cuffel, Long Beach, Wash.; six grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, a devout Christian, a kind, affectionate mother, devoted wife and a cherished neighbor. She was a good woman - more cannot be said of anyone. The funeral was held April 8th at the home of Grandma and Grandpa Robison and the remains were interred in the Rossville cemetery. He was born May 24, 1920 at Delia, the son of Amelia and Chris Rodenbaugh. Ray graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in St. Marys. He was a 55 year member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Emmett. Ray was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Doris Bowman Rodenbaugh in 1999. Ray was a pilot, fisherman, business owner, musician, technician and farmer. He was the proprietor of St. Marys Radio & Television for 25 years and later owned and operated Ray’s Place, a convenience store on Highway 63 just north of Jeffrey Road. He is survived by seven children; Dana Rodenbaugh, Colorado Springs, Colo., Darylene Laurent, Phoenix, Ariz., Debra Butler, Manhattan, Diane Holladay, Jupiter, Fla., David Rodenbaugh, Thornton, Colo., Darrell Rodenbaugh, Plano, Tex. and Dennis Rodenbaugh, Syracuse, Kan.; and 11 grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, April 24 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. | 9316 |  | Obituary- Roeder, John John Paul Roeder John Paul Roeder, 72, Topeka, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at the Rossville Valley Manor in Rossville. He was born October 12,1927, in Kansas City, KS, the son of Clarence J. and Gladys Silvers Roeder. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, KS and from Ottawa University, Ottawa. He also graduated from Iliff Methodist School of Theology in Denver, CO, after which he served as a minister in the Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and also worked many years for the State of Kansas, Personnel Division. Surviving him are a daughter, Denise Lohness, Topeka; two sons, David Roeder, Topeka, and Scott Roeder, Shawnee; a brother, Clarence Roeder, Leawood; and four grandchildren. He was cremated. A graveside service will be at 10:00 Saturday, August 5, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3223 North 18th Street, Kansas City, KS, under direction of Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Rogers, whose death occurred Thursday, May 28, at the home of his son, John Rogers, north of Willard, was laid to rest Sunday, May 30th, in the Dover cemetery after a funeral service held at the West Union church south of Willard conducted bt the Rev. G.C. Albin of Rossville. The M.W.A. ritualistic service was exemplified at the cemetery. Mr. Rogers was a native of Peoli, Ohio, where he was born August 31st, 1860 and at the date of his death was 64 years, 8 months and 28 days old. At the age of 18 he united with the Methodist church and remained in that faith. In 1884 he came to Kansas and located near Valencia. Until his removal to Rossville several years ago he had lived continuously in the Willard neighborhood. During his residence here Mr. Rogers had made many warm friends. A large number of Rossville people attended the funeral service. The pallbearers included Messrs. R.R. Hawks, Elmer Witter, Harley Seigle, I.T. Hopkins, Ted Fields and A.B. Jamieson. Beside the widow he is survived by four sons and three daughters, Abe Rogers, P.D. Rogers, and Mrs. Helen Taber, all of Willard; Mrs. Abbie Edgar of Pullman, Washington; Mrs. Ruth Page of Rossville. | |

She was born July 27, 1881, near Dover and had made her home in that community her entire life. She was a member of the Dover Federated church. She is survived by her husband, John V. Rogers; a daughter, Mrs. Ocea Mansell, Alma; a son, Clyde Rogers, Rossville; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Lyttle, Topeka and Mrs. Joe Tomson, Dover; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Dover Federated Church. Mr. and Mrs. John Stevens, Mrs. Charity, James, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Stevens of Topeka drove to Dover Wednesday afternoon to attend the funeral service of Mrs. John Rogers held at the Dover Federated Church. He had been a patient in a Topeka hospital from Dec. 27-Dec. 31. He had a heart ailment. Mr. Rogers was born Apr. 11, 1909, at Dover and spent most of his life in the Rossville community. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Hesperian Lodge No. 111, AF&AM, Rossville; Scottish Rite bodies and Arab Shrine in Topeka. He was also a member of the Kansas Livestock Association. Mr. Rogers was a member of the board of directors of Silver Lake State Bank, and served on the Shawnee County area planning board. He was married to Fern Pendleton Aug. 6, 1936, at Riley. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter: Mrs. Jane Fritz, Los Alamitos, Calif.; a son: Don Rogers, Maple Hill; a sister: Mrs. Ocea Zaleuke; a grandson: John Warren Rogers, Maple Hill. Services were held Tuesday at the Parker Mortuary, Topeka, with burial in the Rossville Cemetery. The Hesperian Lodge conducted graveside services. Debra was married to Michael D. Rogers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rogers, former Rossville residents. Harold managed the alfalfa mill many years. They now live in Nevada. Funeral services for Mrs. Rogers were held in the Winnemucca Assembly of God Church, with interment in the Winnemucca Cemetery. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Paula; her parents, two brothers, and two sisters. A number of nieces and nephews also survive her. | |

Mrs. Rogers had taught school at the Lipp School and in Rossville. She was born Dec. 25, 1909, at Silver Lake, the daughter of Dudley and Lorena Moseley Pendleton. Mrs. Rogers was a member of Rossville United Methodist Church, the auxiliary to the Jimmy Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion in Rossville, Loyal Chapter No. 176 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Silver Lake, the Kansas State Historical Society and the Santa Fe Trail Historical Society. She was married to Clyde H. Rogers on Aug. 6, 1936. He died Jan. 1, 1972. Survivors include a daughter, Jane McClelland, Festus, Mo.; a son, Don C. Rogers, Topeka; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Rossville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Rogers will lie in state from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Parker-Price Mortuary and from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the Rossville United Methodist Church. She was born February 20, 1908 near Rossville, the daughter of William and Flora Kinnett Sanders. She graduated from Rossville High School in 1926 and taught school in the Rossville community for 8 years. Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Dover Federated Church, the ladies aide of the church and the Dover Grange. She had lived all of her married life in the Dover community until moving to Topeka several years ago. She was united in marriage to Warner Rogers on August 1, 1934 at Rossville. He preceded her in death on October 15,1993. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Greg Vilander on July 4,1970. Survivors include a son Marvin (Ruth) Rogers, Richardson, TX; a daughter Norma Jean (Leon) Vilander, Eskridge; grandchildren, LuAnn Buchan, Scott (Lorie) Rogers and Gayle Rogers; 7 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Harold was born on October 10, 1928 to Albert and Evelyn Rogers in Kearney, Nebraska. He married Marcia Hagerty in 1952. While living in Nebraska and Iowa they had three sons. The family moved to Rossville, Kansas in 1959, where Harold was the manager at an alfalfa dehydrator plant for over 10 years. Harold loved to raise pheasants and peacocks, hunt and fish. In 1970, the family moved to Winnemucca, Nevada where he worked as a mechanic for the Humboldt County School District. While working for the school district, he met and married Marilyn Lesh in 1976. Harold and Marilyn later moved to Middleton, Idaho where Harold continued to work as a mechanic until he retired. He was born July 17, 1925, at Elmont, the son of William Paul and Hazel F. Layman Rogers. Mr. Rogers served in the Army and was retired from Goodyear after 30 years of service. | 9339 |  | Obituary- Ronnebaum, Donald 1 Donald (Don) August Ronnebaum, 88, passed away peacefully after his lengthy battle with cancer on Saturday, March 5th, 2022, at Aldersgate Village in Topeka. Don was born in Baileyville, KS on June 28th, 1933, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Reinecke) Ronnebaum. As he grew up, he worked on the family farm with his father, five brothers, and sister. Don was then drafted into the United States Army in 1951. In his time with the Army, he served in Washington D.C. He married Rose Marie Martin on October 27th, 1956, in Hanover, KS. Shortly after getting married, they purchased a farm near Delia, KS, where they raised their six children. This is where Don passed along his love for fishing to his children, as they spent many hours fishing at their farm ponds. Don worked as a Machinist at Allis Chalmers in Topeka, and then later worked at Jeffery Energy Center as a Machinist as well, where he retired from in 1995. He was a member of the United Electrical Workers (UEW) of America and the International Machinist Union. Don and Rosie moved to St. Mary’s in 1996, where they built their retirement home. They lived many happy years together in this home, where they created and shared memories with their children and grandchildren. In his retirement years, Don enjoyed spending time restoring cars in his shop, fishing, and camping. Don and Rosie spent every summer in their camper at Tuttle Creek Lake. The two were happily married for 60 years and Don loved nothing more than spending time with Rosie. She preceded him in death in 2017, after her hard-fought battle with cancer in which he was always by her side. He also experienced a great loss in his son David, in 2019. After Rosie and David’s deaths, one of his greatest joys was being able to go on the Kansas Honor Flight with his granddaughter, as his student guardian. This was a time when he was able to reflect on his days in the service, and some of the moments that truly shaped his life. Don had many happy memories of the time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a man of great Christian faith and instilled that in his children as well. Don and Rosie were longtime parishioners of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Mary’s. He was also a 3rd degree Knight in The Knights of Columbus. After graduation, she worked for; the State of Kansas in Topeka, until she married Donald A. Ronnebaum on October 27, 1956. After marriage, Rosie enjoyed raising her six children on a farm. Later in life she worked for USD No. 321 as a cook until she retired. Don and Rosie moved to St. Marys, in 1996. Rosie loved her flowers and her hobbies included tending to her flower garden, sewing, quilting, gardening, reading and camping. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. In her retirement years she liked to travel and camp. Rosie thoroughly valued her time she spent with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Joe Martin and a sister-in- law Mariane Martin. Rosie leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, Don of the home. | 9342 |  | Obituary- Ronsse, David St. Marys—David A. “Dave” Ronsse, 69, passed away late Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Stormont Vail Hospital. He was born October 24, 1951, at Wamego, the son of Joseph Raymond and Mary Kathleen Ahearn Ronsse. Dave graduated from St. Marys High School with the class of 1970. He joined the United States Navy in 1971 and served until 1975, and served aboard the USS American 66, and was stationed in Viet Nam. After being honorably discharged from the Navy he worked for Poppelreiter Farms and later for the utility department for the City of St. Marys retiring in 2014. Dave was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. He was the Commander of Aubert-Walls VFW Post No. 7796 in St. Marys. Dave enjoyed woodworking and making toys, he also enjoyed camping and traveling. He loved family time and get-togethers. Dave was a great Kansas State University fan and was the grandson of the late Michael F. Ahearn whom the Ahearn Fieldhouse was named for. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marie Crawshaw. On February 25, 1984, he was united in marriage to Christy Pearl in St. Marys. She survives of the home. Other survivors include two sons, Ryan (Andrea) Ronsse, St. Marys and Adam Ronsse, Alma; his brother, Michael (Nancy) Ronsse, Springfield; two sisters, Kate Brehn and Maggi Ronsse, both of Topeka; five grandchildren, Carter, Ryder, Emma, Ella, and Everett. Ronsse, 81, of St. Marys, Kansas, prominent lamb feeder and stockman died Monday afternoon in St. Francis Hospital, Topeka, after a short illness. He was born August 14, 1876 in Renaix, Belgium, and came to this country with his parents when he was 6 years old. He settled on a farm in the Sandy Hook Community near St. Marys, where he has since made his home. He was united in marriage to Nora Downing of St. Marys at the Immaculate Conception Church, St. Marys in 1911. Mrs. Ronsse preceded him in death July 22, 1947. Mr. Ronsse was associated with his brothers for many years in extensive lamb feeding, stock raising and farming. He was an Honorary Member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus for fifty years. He was a member of the Farmers Union Sandy Hook Local for many years. The rosary was recited at 8:30 P. M. Wednesday at the Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Funeral services will be at 9:00 A M today at the Immaculate Conception Church, St. Marys. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. Mr. Ronsse is survived by one son, Ernest F. She was born Nov. 12, 1915, at Madison, the daughter of Vern P. and Mary Myrtle Rake Hoobler. She graduated from Maple Hill High School. She had lived in St. Marys many years. Mrs. Ronsse was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. She was united in marriage to Leo I. Ronsse on Aug. 24, 1940, at St. Marys. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1992, a daughter Mary Jo Ronsse preceded her in death on April 2,2008. Mrs. Ronsse was also preceded in death by five brothers, Harold, Raymond, Dwight, Albert and Lloyd Hoobler. Survivors include four sons, Robert (Darlene) Ronsse, John (Donna) Ronsse, William (Terri) Ronsse and Perry (Anna) Ronsse, all of Topeka; a daughter, Ann (Ray) Barthuly, St. Marys; three brothers, Forest Hoobler, Topeka, Everett Hoobler, St. Marys, and Lester A. He was born April 18, 1957 in Topeka, the son of Leo I. and Mildred N. Hoobler Ronsse. Bill graduated from St. Marys High School. Bill worked at the Topeka Goodyear Tire and Rubber Plant in Topeka for 35 years. He was a member of United Steelworkers Local 307 in Topeka. Bill was a member of the Catholic faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Jo Ronsse. On July 9, 1977 he was united in marriage to Terri Droegemeier in St. Marys. She survives of the home. He died Friday, Feb. 17, 1989, at an Olathe medical center. He had been ill. He was born Dec. 30, 1965, at Lakeside, Calif., the son of Jack and Diane Diehl Roosevelt. He had been a Topekan since 1967 and was graduated from the Capper Foundation May 20, 1987. Mr. Roosevelt participated in the Kansas Special Olympics and United Cerebral Palsy Games and attended the Muscular Dystrophy Camp. He was a member of Gage Park Baptist Church, Boy Scouts of America, the Garden Club, Art Club, sports class, performing arts and Youth for Christ. Survivors include his mother, Diane Buchannon, Topeka; his father, Jack Roosevelt, Corona, Calif.; three sisters, Jackie Parr and Sherry Flores, both of Houston, and Krissy Pfefferle, Pitman, N.J.; a brother. Rusty Roosevelt, Salina; and grandmothers, Elizabeth Diehl, Perry, and Leona Clayberg, Corona, Calif. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. He was born March 5, 1862 and was widely known in Silver Lake and vicinity. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen lodge of Silver Lake. He retired from the farm 12 years ago. He had made several trips to California in recent years and had been home only three weeks. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen W. Root, Topeka; three daughters, Mrs. Figgins, Topeka; Mrs. Louise Whitehead, Rossville and Mrs. Jeanette Regnani, Topeka; two sons, Fred A. Root, Tecumseh and Theodore L. Root, Silver Lake; three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Hughes and Miss Sarah Root of Ingleside home and Mrs. Laura Worland, Topeka and 11 grand children. The funeral was held at Grace cathedral at 2:30 o’clock Thursday morning. Interment was made in Rochester cemetery. The body lay in state at the Penwell mortuary from 9 until 12 o’clock Thursday morning. | |

| 9349 |  | Obituary- Ropp, Sarah Mrs. John Ropp Passed Away Sarah Jane Ropp aged 78 years 2 months and 22 days passed away at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning, Feb. 10, after a short illness. Her death was due to over exertion in caring for the sick members of her family. Mrs. Ropp had been frail for years with frequent attacks of her heart and her age made each attack of increasing severity. Sarah Jane Kelley was born November 19, 1841, at Hartford, Backford County, Indiana. At the age of 19 she was united in marriage to John R. Ropp at Hartford City, Ind., where they lived until 1869 when they came with their family to Kansas settling first at Silver Lake where they resided for about three years. Next they moved to the Wilmot farm near Maple Hill for one year and moved to Rossville in 1873 where the family has resided since. Mrs. Ropp united with the Methodist church in 1875 at services held at that time in the old school building on north Navarre street and has continued in that faith. Ten children were born to Mrs. Ropp three of whom survive her. Forrest with whom she has made her home since the death of her husband, Grant, of Wakeeney, Kansas, and Mrs. Minnie Haywood, of Rossville. Other surviving relatives are her brother, Joe Kelley and half brother, H. Themas both of Hartford, Ind. The funeral was held today at 2 p.m. at the home conducted by Rev. McCulloch of the Methodist church and interment made in the Rossville cemetery. | |
| 9350 |  | Obituary- Rose, Allen Allen Leroy Rose Allen Leroy Rose, 86, Rossville passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Colmery-O’Neil VA. Hospital in Topeka. He was born May 26,1930 in Metcalf, Illinois, the son of James and Dorothy Rogers Rose. Allen attended Charleston High School in Charleston, IL. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and was wounded in combat on February 22,1951. Allen was awarded a purple heart and a bronze star for bravery. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was married to Dolores Britt on October 24, 1952. She survives at the home. Other survivors are two sons, Steve (Nancy) of Delia and Randy, of Sabetha; his daughter, Sandee (Steve Schnelz) Milwaukee, WI; a sister, Donna Satterfield, Charleston, IL; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Allen was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson; three sisters and three brothers. Memorial services were Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys. Inurnment followed in the Rossville Cemetery with military services conducted by Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion.
